OKI Data Americas Partners with ProHealth Physicians for the Second Consecutive Year to Support the Susan G. Komen Connecticut Race For The Cure®

Leading printer manufacturer to provide the 1959 Pink Cadillac Series 62 Convertible as part of its Color Me OKI program along with postcards for prevention

Mount Laurel, N.J. (June 2, 2009) - The employees of OKI Data Americas, a leading printer manufacturer, are partnering with ProHealth, Connecticut’s leading primary care physician organization, to support the Susan G. Komen Connecticut Race For The Cure® for the second year in a row. The event will be held on Saturday, June 6th at Bushnell Park in Hartford, CT. On behalf of the Color Me OKI program, the 1950’s Automotive Classic, 1959 Pink Cadillac Series 62 Convertible[1] will be on display for photo opportunities as the Chiclettes entertain the crowd with hits from the 1950’s and 60’s. Commemorative photos taken with the vintage vehicle will be printed on OKI Printing Solutions’ digital color printers and provided to attendees free, in keepsake frames.

Earlier this year, the Color Me OKI program launched its postcards for prevention initiative to help raise awareness of the importance of early detection. Breast cancer prevention postcards will be available onsite for attendees to take with them and send to loved ones in order to remind them to schedule a mammogram appointment. In addition, to further promote education and awareness, ProHealth, which serves the medical needs of nearly 350,000 residents in Connecticut, will inform the community on how its services can support, care for and educate citizens on breast cancer treatment.

ProHealth Physicians wants Connecticut to know that the fight against breast cancer will be won,” said James Cox-Chapman, MD, ProHealth Physicians, Chief Medical Officer. “ProHealth supports the Komen Foundation and encourages all women to have regular breast cancer screening. We are proud to do our part and delighted to partner with OKI Data Americas for the second consecutive year.”

OKI Data Americas first partnered with ProHealth in 2008 to support the fundraising efforts of the Susan G. Komen Connecticut Race For The Cure® event, which is in its 16th year. With several events to encourage all ages and levels of participants, this year’s event includes a 5K race, a 4K walk, a 1.5K walk, Kid’s K and Kid’s Short Race and Sleep in for the Cure, for participants who are unable to attend race day festivities but still want to contribute to the cause. Registration for the event is still open and donations can be made at www.komenct.org.

“It is our hope that we can help promote breast cancer awareness and the importance of early detection while creating memories and celebrating those courageously battling this disease,” said Stewart Krentzman, President and CEO of OKI Data Americas. “We sustain these efforts through our Color Me OKI program and remain driven by our passion and ongoing commitment to supporting this cause that affects us all.”

Since 2007, the Color Me OKI philanthropic program has uniquely paired vintage vehicles with live entertainment to help support and celebrate the strong women, family and friends that are fighting breast and colorectal cancers. In 2009, the program was enhanced to include postcards for prevention, helping to spread the importance of early detection. The personal program stays true to the company’s passion for customer intimacy, which it does by engaging with customers on a one-on-one basis to understand their needs. OKI Data Americas (www.okidata.com), one of the leading printer manufacturers in the U.S., goes beyond traditional service to develop long term partnerships with each customer and make them feel like customers again.
