Launch of Label/POS Business Makes OKI Data Americas the Only Manufacturer To Offer a Full-Line Portfolio of Printer Technologies

OKI Data Americas, which markets its products under the OKI® Printing Solutions brand, today announces the launch of its label/POS business with a full-line portfolio of products that will be distributed by leading industry distributor SYNNEX Corporation. The announcement makes OKI Data Americas the only manufacturer to offer a full-line portfolio of printer technologies, including: label, POS, SIDM and color and monochrome laser/LED and multifunction printers (MFP), as well as a full line of Managed Print Service-ready color MFPs and color and mono single function printers. The new label/POS portfolio includes a line of portable thermal label printers, desktop and enterprise thermal label printers and POS printers, backed by the company’s industry-leading Overnight Exchange warranty[i].
Highlights of the announcement:
- OKI Printing Solutions launches label/POS business and names SYNNEX the distributor of new technology products.
- The label/POS business launch makes OKI Data Americas the only manufacturer with a full-line portfolio of printer technologies, including label, POS, SIDM and color and mono laser/LED and MFPs.
- New products include portable, desktop and enterprise thermal label printers that can produce complex, information-packed two-dimensional bar codes and high-frequency RFID labels. Thermal and dot matrix POS products offer drop-in replacement media, long-lasting ribbons and user-replaceable interfaces. Desktop, enterprise and POS printers are backed by the industry’s only two-year Overnight Exchange warranty[i].

OKI Printing Solutions’ label/POS business is supported by the following products:
- Portable Thermal Label Printers: The LP441, LP470 and LP480 deliver advanced, on-demand label and receipt printing technology to improve overall efficiency for a multitude of industries. Key features include: fast print speeds of up to four inches per second[ii]; lightweight, compact design with models weighing as little as 0.9 lb.; wireless connectivity; high print resolution of up to 305 dpi; and rugged, anti-bacterial cases ideal for use in strict healthcare applications.
- Desktop Thermal Label Printers: The X400, T400/T410 and D500 (X700) Series provide a wide range of functionality and configurations to meet users’ application needs. The entry-level X400 Series offers a feature-rich design, with both direct thermal and thermal transfer capabilities that satisfy labeling requirements. The high-end T400 Series is an enterprise-level engine in a desktop size with user-replaceable interface and thermal heads, with fast print speeds up to six inches per second[ii] and superior print quality up to 305 dpi. The D500 (X700) Series includes many of the same features as the T400 Series in direct thermal-only mode, as well as a positive locking cover with an externally visible error code for added ease-of-use functionality.
- Enterprise Thermal Label Printers: This product line combines all the features and benefits of the desktop series with greater media capacity, higher print speeds, steel construction and comprehensive Op Panel for ease of use and unsurpassed functionality.
- Point of Sale Printers: The OKIPOS® 407II direct thermal printer delivers speeds of 250 mm per second and a crisp, clear 203 dpi resolution, delivering up to 53 receipts per minute[ii]. Built-in flexibility makes it ideal for a wide range of applications including retail, hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing and banking. The OKIPOS 441 Series dot matrix printers are built specifically to work in environments where heat and humidity can erode the type on thermal-printed media, with a clamshell design for easy paper loading and an embedded power supply for space efficiency in cramped quarters. The RT322 Series direct thermal printers are designed for simplicity, with a compact footprint that can be positioned for horizontal or vertical use; flip-open top to drop in a roll of media; and interchangeable interfaces that let these POS printers grow with the business.
