Oki Data Americas Co-sponsors Buick Invitational for 6th Consecutive Year

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., January 20, 2005

Oki Data Americas, Inc., the fastest-growing color page printer manufacturer in the United States, today announced that it is a proud co-sponsor of the 2005 Buick Invitational, an elite stop on the PGA Tour, for the 6th year. Preliminary play began earlier this week, with the first round of the tournament beginning today.

The Buick Invitational, which attracts the best professional golfers in the world, also is known for its charitable component. In 2004, net proceeds from the event raised nearly $1 million for more than 100 charities in the San Diego area.

“Oki Data is proud to be counted among co-sponsors who share our dedication to this tournament, and its charitable component,” said Scott Becker, Vice President of Marketing for Oki Data. “We have great hopes that this year’s event will make a tremendous impact.”

In addition to its co-sponsorship support, this year, Oki Data's presence at the event is multifaceted and includes benefits for patrons, the media and golfers:

The Buick Invitational long has been considered one of the premier events on the PGA Tour. Recent Buick Invitational winners include John Daly in 2004 and Tiger Woods in 2003. More than $4.5 million dollars will be distributed among prize winners, with the first-prize winner taking home $864,000.

Proceeds from the Buick Invitational tournament will benefit various charities. This year’s partners include Chip-In for Charity, SOS: Support Our Schools, The Century Club and the Helicopter Ball Drop, which benefits the San Diego Regional Fire and Rescue Helicopter Program. In 2004, more than $950,000 was raised for charity.
